Job Summary

The Concessions Lead Bartender oversees bar operations by opening and closing the bar, ensuring it is fully stocked, organized, and event-ready. They train and support new bartenders while maintaining high service standards and adherence to alcohol service policies. During events, they may operate their own bar or assist multiple bar locations to ensure smooth, efficient service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Counts the bar by verifying the amounts provided on the stand sheet.
  • Sets up assigned bars; requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce.
  • Maintains stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality.
  • Greets guests in a courteous, friendly manner.
  • Takes and/or processes orders for drinks; mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes; practices prudent portion control.
  • Checks guests at the bar for proper identification.
  • Detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained. Demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws.
  • Attempts to limit problems/liability by taking steps such as encouraging customers to stop drinking or take safe methods of transportation from event.
  • Completes Alcohol Incident Log whenever service is denied to a guest.
  • Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; keeps work area clean and organized.
  • Arranges bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area.
  • Washes and sterilizes stemware.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in bar setup and breakdown, including stocking, inventory, and equipment care
  • Proven bartending experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
  • Ability to build rapport and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
  • Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods of time throughout the day
  • Lift/move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds

Pay

Pay Rate: $12.00 per hour + tips.

Schedule

Schedule: Part time event-based schedule. Must be able to work nights and weekends. Must be able to work all Hawks home games.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years' experience working in a restaurant bar, particularly working in a fast-paced environment.
  • The Bar Lead candidate should have an outgoing personality and the ability to interact with high-profile guests and remain professional and dedicated to providing exceptional experiences.
  • The Bar Lead should understand the drink menu and ensure alcohol guidelines are followed.
  • The Bar Lead is in charge of executing bar set up and breakdown.
