Team Lead

About the role

The Team Lead at Rack Room Shoes assists in supervising and managing all day-to-day store operations while ensuring 100% compliance with all established Company policies and procedures. They provide leadership, guidance, and training to the store staff via direction from the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. In the absence of these managers, the Team Lead assumes full responsibility for all store operations.

Responsibilities

• Create, establish, and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience.
• Maintain and reinforce current service level standards.
• Provide service training and leadership to staff members.
• Manage customer issues with a sense of urgency and to the satisfaction of our customers.
• Conduct all POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure.
• Manage sales, discounts, and refunds.
• Perform loyalty, open/closing procedures, inventory control, shipping and receiving, price management, and single/damaged merchandise handling.
• Ensure sales floor merchandising and visual presentation adhere to company standards.
• Manage promotional events, materials, and signage.
• Manage payroll control, including scheduling, payroll budget compliance, time & attendance.
• Train and develop direct reports, ensuring utilization of all available training tools and consistent reinforcement of customer service standards.
• Manage loss prevention, protecting and controlling all Company assets.

Qualifications

• An approved background check.

• Managerial and organizational skills.
