Lead Bartender, River House

About the role

Lead Bartender, River House at Montage Palmetto Bluff is seeking passionate individuals to join our team. This role involves leading the team, training new associates, and supporting daily operations. The ideal candidate enjoys spirits, wine, and food, has excellent communication skills, and is passionate about providing exceptional guest service.

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests, take orders, make cocktails, upsell, and ensure guest satisfaction
• Anticipate guest needs and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the bar
• Aid in planning and developing new drink menus and cocktail recipes
• Assist with ordering and maintaining supplies
• Work as a team and communicate effectively with management, bartenders, and service staff
• Deliver on guests' expectations and create WOW moments
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs

Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Prior bartending experience and micros or other systems experience
• Luxury hotel experience a plus
• One year minimum of bartending experience
• Must have basic communication skills
• Passionate about providing exceptional guest service and creating memorable moments
• Open to learning, developing, and growing both yourself and others
• Trustworthy and have integrity

Skills

• Basic communication skills
• Knowledge of selling techniques and service delivery of both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift
• Ability to push and pull food serving equipment and carts weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi-regular basis
