Lead Application Engineer - Switchgear

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Lead Application Engineer - Switchgear. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97,000 - $143,000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Responsibilities

• Proactively own assigned sales regions in collaboration with sales team to drive growth and establish priorities.
• Perform specification/application reviews to guide the Proposals team in preparing larger or more complex quotations.
• Work with Eaton’s field sales team to cultivate customer relationships and specify appropriate products, solutions, and innovation ideas.
• Support analysis and resolution of customer complaints.
• Handle more complex technical issues and provide advanced solutions.
• Collect voice of customer (VOC), develop product requirements, and prepare/present business cases for highly strategic projects.
• Develop promotional material, sales tools, and promotional programs.
• Conduct sales force training advanced product applications and drive development of additional training materials.
• Serve as marketing representative in new product project teams for highly strategic projects.
• Lead marketing projects such as marketing studies, competitive studies, and customer loyalty programs.
• Maintain continuous improvement initiatives within the marketing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in marketing, engineering, sales, or product support.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred.
• Two or more years of experience working with electric power distribution switchgear, applications, systems, and standards is preferred.
