The Central Office Medical Review Unit (COMRU) is responsible for determining Level of Care eligibility and referring Level 2 screening for individuals entering Medicaid certified beds. This position assists in providing excellent customer services to long-term care facilities, hospitals, and other entities.

Responsibilities

  • Promptly and accurately answering telephone calls
  • Compiling records for current applications
  • Absorb applications requested from facilities under the Sunshine Request Law
  • Scan processed applications into the database
  • Absorb online applications for completeness
  • Communicate with applicants/submitters regarding corrections or additional information needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as proficient typing skills and basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to move from one task to another in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate with other team members
  • Ability to work independently with minimal level of supervision
  • Ability to meet deadline/timeframes
