About the role

Performs Accounts Payable (A/P) functions including processing invoices and payments through payables automation systems, processing expense reports, and resolving account discrepancies with vendors and internal departments. Facilitates financial system testing, liaises with audit teams, orders and tracks gift card purchases, and performs monthly closing duties. Oversees and trains interns, junior staff, and temporary employees on A/P automation systems.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and troubleshoot invoices through Accounts Payable (A/P) automation systems (Oracle and Inspyrus).
  • Research non-standard invoices and system errors to investigate causes and provide resolutions.
  • Generate payments in Oracle (checks and ACH) transmitted to the bank.
  • Perform month-end closing duties, including processing open transactions, recording payments to the general ledger, and collaborating with business areas (e.g., IT) to facilitate close.
  • Ensure Oracle transactions are processed prior to closing monthly periods.
  • Assist in the implementation and ongoing management of A/P systems, ensuring smooth integration with existing financial systems.
  • Delegate and review work of interns, junior staff, and temporary employees; provide training on A/P automation systems.
  • Purchase and track gift cards for initiatives such as contests or awards.
  • Administer supplier master data records, including entering new suppliers, updating banking information, and ensuring accuracy.
  • Work with internal and external audit teams to provide reports and documentation for inquiries and projects.
  • Complete larger-scale A/P projects, including:
    • Audit larger travel and expense (T&E) expenses for management prior to payment.
    • Complete quarterly reporting and analysis of T&E spend; respond to inquiries from departmental liaisons.
    • Prepare Unclaimed Property tax returns for 50 states on a bi-annual basis; report uncashed checks and remit payments based on state regulations.
  • Maintain detailed records of invoice data, including emails and backup copies.
  • Collaborate with other departments on A/P-related inquiries and prepare reports as needed.
  • Perform system troubleshooting with IT when required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required. Alternatively, a High School Diploma with at least six (6) years of relevant Accounting experience, or 2–4 years of relevant Accounting experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent years of experience without a degree.

Schedule

Hybrid role based in Camden, NJ (Greater Philadelphia area) with remote work 2 days per week (Wednesday and Friday) after 90 days.

Pay

The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $59,200 – $70,000 per year. Individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This role is bonus-eligible, with a target bonus percentage based on performance.
