ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure department personnel follow the established procedures for start up, operation, and shutdown of the department.
- Follow production reports and troubleshoot any issues during operation. Offer potential solutions and report any issues daily to supervisor.
- Coordinate employee activities and training for department, with the help of the supervisor and training department.
- Maintain proper records and logs of activities, operating conditions, and down time.
- Understand, support, and help implement/maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), ERP, Operating Policies, and Daily’s safety programs.
- Understand, support and help implement goals and objectives, and continuous improvement plans and activities.
- Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Trains and coaches employees under the direction of the Supervisor.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence preferred.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers and management.
- Bilingual skills preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to apply mathematical formulas to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, occasionally lift up to 45 pounds and sometimes push/and or move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to wet, cold and/or humid conditions in both inside and outside environments.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually at a level where OSHA required hearing protection is required.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE
- The hours and days of work are established at the discretion of management and may be adjusted (increased or decreased) by management as required.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule as necessary.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as scheduled by customer product demand.
