About the role

This is an entry-level opportunity for individuals passionate about starting a career in the medical field. As an ophthalmic assistant, you will receive intensive classroom and hands-on training to prepare you for a fulfilling career in ophthalmology. You’ll work alongside renowned ophthalmic surgeons and optometrists, performing complex diagnostic testing and exams that provide critical medical information to assist in patient treatment. This role offers a path to advanced, internationally recognized certification in a growing field.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply complex diagnostic testing and ophthalmic exams under the guidance of experienced professionals.
• Work directly with ophthalmologists and optometrists to gather critical medical information for patient treatment.
• Develop strong patient connections through warm, empathetic communication.
• Support a team-oriented environment by assisting colleagues and contributing to a positive workplace culture.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Experience in a professional environment with a strong customer service focus.
• Previous experience in the medical field or certification is preferred but not required.
• Self-starter with the ability to learn and apply complex concepts quickly.
• Motivated, resilient, and eager to grow a meaningful medical career.

Schedule

This is a full-time position located in Wildwood, FL. Occasional travel to other locations may be required.
