About the role
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Lake Dallas Independent School District, including budgeting, financial planning, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies and plans for the district.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, and audits.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Manage the district's cash flow and investment portfolio.
- Collaborate with the Board of Trustees to develop and maintain sound fiscal policies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the district's finance team.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in financial management, preferably in K-12 education.
- A CPA certification is preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications
- Experience with financial software and systems.
- Knowledge of state and federal education funding sources and allocation processes.
- Understanding of risk management and insurance practices relevant to educational institutions.

Pay
