Layup

Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify different hulls and decks to be laminated.
• Use rollers, brushes, and fiberglass gun.
• Eliminate bubbles in fiberglass once applied.
• Follow instructions from Supervisor/foreman/lead.
• Use small hand tools such as scissors and razor knife.
• Lightly sand and grind parts as needed.
• Inspect parts to ensure completeness and quality.
• Work with a team to complete daily tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Able to work in non-climate controlled environments.
• Able to bend at waist and knees and stand for extended periods.
• Able to lift 75 pounds when necessary.
• Able to push/pull boat rails/hulls and other pieces as necessary.
• Able to climb into and out of boats.
• Able to wear proper safety equipment including respirator when necessary.
