Description

Under the direction of the Dietary Director, the cook is responsible for preparing food that will be served to patients, staff, employees, and visitors of SMRMC Health System. The Dietary Cook is responsible for all meal preparations based on the needs and orders from the physician concerning their patients. Must be able to adjust recipes based on the needs of the patients. At all times, the cook must ensure the work area is clean and sanitary for the preparation of food.

Hours of Work

• Sunday through Saturday
• Day Shift: 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM
• Night Shift: 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM

Qualifications

• Must be able to work and relate in a professional non-defensive manner with peers, physicians, administration, patients, and visitors.
• Must be able to adjust recipes based on the needs of the patients.
• Must be able to work 80 hours per pay period and rotate every other weekend.
