Law Library Access Services Asst. - Temporary (part-time, 28 hours/week)
Summary
The Howard W. Hunter Law Library is seeking a Collections and Circulation Assistant to assist with maintaining and organizing library materials, ensuring access to the collection, and supporting accreditation requirements. This is a temporary position lasting no more than 12 months.
What We Do
The Howard W. Hunter Law Library is dedicated to teaching, research, and service-oriented missions. It provides legal research, reference, and instruction services, and maintains an extensive collection of legal resources.
Qualifications
- Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree OR equivalent years of education and work experience
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree AND library experience OR Bachelor's degree AND 3 years of professional work experience
- Required: Excellent customer service skills, collaborative abilities, ability to learn and apply new technologies, attention to detail, ability to mentor, self-motivation, dedication, persistence, creativity, knowledge of collection maintenance, computer literacy, and ability to uphold department policies and procedures
- Desired: Customer service experience with academic clientele, proficiency with Microsoft Office, demonstrated innovation and workflow assessment, ability to create statistical reports, familiarity with library systems, and strong communication skills

Pay Level
Pay Level: 48
Typical Starting Pay Range: $20.25 to $26.50 an hour
