About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government airport location in Honolulu, HI. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication to travelers, staff, and visitors. This is a part-time position offering flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Exercise sound judgement and render immediate, appropriate decisions under stressful conditions.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, perimeter zones, roadways, and other assigned airport property to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain awareness of restricted areas in accordance with site procedures and government requirements.
  • Coordinate with airport operations, law enforcement, and emergency personnel as directed.
  • Prepare accurate reports and activity logs, document incidents and observations, and maintain assigned equipment.
  • Supervise contractor personnel and work effectively with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies, and the public on security disputes or complaints.
  • Provide court appearances for citations issued on behalf of DOTA, with replacement staffing provided as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional law enforcement experience in the U.S. after graduating from a certified law enforcement academy (Federal, State, or County level).
  • Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent (must provide credentials).
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Law Enforcement Officer License.
  • 22+ years of age.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member under the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C. 922(g)(9)).
  • No documented truthfulness infractions in violation of Giglio/Henthorn for federal impeachment proceedings.
  • No record of moral turpitude, domestic violence, untruthfulness, or mental/emotional disorders that may interfere with performance of duties.
  • Pass a one-time physical examination within the past 6 months.
  • Pass a 12-panel drug test and all future random drug testing.
  • Correctable vision to 20/30 in each eye with normal color vision.
  • Able to hear at a normal conversational level (hearing aid permissible).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements

  • Mentally and emotionally capable of performing all assigned duties.
  • Good physical health and capable of moderate to arduous physical exertion, including standing, walking, patrolling for entire shifts, climbing stairs, running, and self-defense.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs. (e.g., fire extinguisher) for a designated distance.
  • Ability to assist in the safe evacuation of individuals, including carrying a small child or supporting persons with limited mobility.
  • Ability to exercise physical force if required in the execution of official duties.
  • Well-groomed and neat in appearance as officially commissioned representatives of the State.

Pay

$34.50 per hour.

Schedule

  • Part-time.
  • Saturday: 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM.
  • Sunday: 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM.
