About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government airport location in Honolulu, HI. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication to travelers, staff, and visitors. This is a part-time position offering flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Exercise sound judgement and render immediate, appropriate decisions under stressful conditions.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, perimeter zones, roadways, and other assigned airport property to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain awareness of restricted areas in accordance with site procedures and government requirements.
- Coordinate with airport operations, law enforcement, and emergency personnel as directed.
- Prepare accurate reports and activity logs, document incidents and observations, and maintain assigned equipment.
- Supervise contractor personnel and work effectively with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies, and the public on security disputes or complaints.
- Provide court appearances for citations issued on behalf of DOTA, with replacement staffing provided as needed.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional law enforcement experience in the U.S. after graduating from a certified law enforcement academy (Federal, State, or County level).
- Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent (must provide credentials).
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Law Enforcement Officer License.
- 22+ years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member under the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C. 922(g)(9)).
- No documented truthfulness infractions in violation of Giglio/Henthorn for federal impeachment proceedings.
- No record of moral turpitude, domestic violence, untruthfulness, or mental/emotional disorders that may interfere with performance of duties.
- Pass a one-time physical examination within the past 6 months.
- Pass a 12-panel drug test and all future random drug testing.
- Correctable vision to 20/30 in each eye with normal color vision.
- Able to hear at a normal conversational level (hearing aid permissible).
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements
- Mentally and emotionally capable of performing all assigned duties.
- Good physical health and capable of moderate to arduous physical exertion, including standing, walking, patrolling for entire shifts, climbing stairs, running, and self-defense.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs. (e.g., fire extinguisher) for a designated distance.
- Ability to assist in the safe evacuation of individuals, including carrying a small child or supporting persons with limited mobility.
- Ability to exercise physical force if required in the execution of official duties.
- Well-groomed and neat in appearance as officially commissioned representatives of the State.
Pay
$34.50 per hour.
Schedule
- Part-time.
- Saturday: 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM.
- Sunday: 03:30 PM - 12:00 AM.
