About the role
As a Law Enforcement Security Officer: Armed Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

- Courtesy in inter-person relationships with the public, airport employees, tenants, law enforcement and security personnel.
- LEOs may be required to provide a court appearance for citations that are issued on behalf of DOTA. Contractor shall provide replacement staffing for LEOs that are required to attend a court proceeding.
Requirements
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with onsite personnel and public sector partners when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout terminals, public access areas, restricted areas, parking locations, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials, permits, and/or authorizations for entry into designated areas while following post orders and applicable location procedures.
- Prepare clear, timely reports of observations, incidents, and/or response actions, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, law enforcement, and/or other authorized personnel as needed.
Qualifications
- Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Skills
- Ability to supervise Contractor’s personnel and work effectively with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies and the public on matters relating to security disputes, complaints on the performance, conduct or behavior of subordinate employees.

Pay
Pay Rate: $28.86 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.58. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.
