• Pay Rate: $38.00 / Hour
• Position Type: Part Time
• Schedule: Day Time, Saturday 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM, Sunday 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Minimum Qualifications (NO EXCEPTIONS)

• 2+ years of professional law enforcement experience in the U.S. after graduating from a certified law enforcement academy (Federal, State, or County level)
• Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent (must provide credentials upon applying)
• Valid Driver's License
• Law Enforcement Officer License
• 22+ years of age

Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required

Applicant must complete one of the following approved programs:

• Certified State law enforcement recruit training
• Certified County law enforcement recruit training
• Federal law enforcement training
• Programs approved by the Director

Each LEO will possess the following minimum qualifications:

• No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member under Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C.922(g)(9)) or documented truthfulness infractions in violation of Giglio/Henthorn for federal impeachment proceedings
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Must be able to supervise Contractor's personnel and work effectively with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies and the public on matters relating to security disputes, complaints on the performance, conduct or behavior of subordinate employees

Additional Preferred Attributes

• Shall have no record of moral turpitude, domestic violence, untruthfulness, or mental or emotional disorders which may interfere with performance of duties

Physical Requirements and Environment

• Mentally and emotionally capable of performing all duties required for their assigned Post/duties
• In good physical health and be fully capable of performing normal or emergency duties requiring moderate to arduous physical exertion such as standing, walking patrolling for an entire shift(s), climbing stairs, running and self-defense
• Ability to perform essential physical tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation, including: Lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs. (e.g., fire extinguisher) for a designated distance; Assisting in the safe evacuation of individuals, including carrying a small child or providing support to persons with limited mobility
• Subject to a random drug screen
• Must be able to exercise physical force, if required, in the execution of their official duties
• Be able to successfully pass a security background check conducted by the DOTA pass and ID office
• Well-groomed and neat in appearance as officially commissioned representatives of the State
• Pass and complete a one-time physical examination within the past 6 months
• Pass a 12-panel drug test and pass all future random drug testing
• Correctable vision to 20/30 each eye with normal color vision
• Able to hear at a normal conversational level

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and government personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at an airport location
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of terminal areas, roadways, parking facilities, perimeter zones, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns
• Monitor access points, inspect credentials and authorized entry, and report suspicious activity, unattended items, hazardous conditions, and policy violations to appropriate personnel
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable procedures and coordinating with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed
• Prepare clear and accurate reports, maintain required logs, and operate assigned communications equipment while following Allied Universal and site-specific policies

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent
• Possess a Peace Officer Certificate
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
