About the role
The First Judicial District of Pennsylvania is the Philadelphia County Court System composed of the Court of Common Pleas and the Municipal Court, with a mission to adjudicate cases and provide services ensuring fair, timely, and accessible justice. The Criminal Section has jurisdiction over all felony cases and appeals from Municipal Court for a trial de novo, including homicide, capital PCRA cases, and felony cases, and includes the Probation Department and Pretrial Services. This is a non‑union position in the Post‑Conviction Relief Act (PCRA) Unit, Law Clerk I (PCRA Unit), within the Criminal Trial Division. The salary grade is G49.
