Laundry Attendant - Full Time - Crowne Plaza Crystal City ($17.25 - $19/hr)

About the role

This position is responsible for processing all soiled hotel bed linens, terry, and food and beverage table linens by operating laundry machinery to B.F. Saul Company Hospitality Group quality standards. The role also involves assisting guests by providing friendly, courteous, and professional service while adhering to health regulations and maintaining high standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Complete all laundry procedures, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, ironing, inspecting, transporting, and organizing all hotel linens.
• Operate, clean, and maintain laundry equipment; safely use chemicals to meet sanitation standards.
• Ensure carts, linen rooms, work areas, and equipment are clean, stocked, and in working order.
• Provide high-quality guest service, responding to requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Work as a team player to meet guest and department needs, contributing to the efforts of other departments as necessary.
• Follow Hampton Inn’s guest service recovery program.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with brand, local, state, and federal regulations.
• Inspect work areas and equipment for maintenance needs and report any issues.
• Follow safe chemical handling procedures within the housekeeping department.
• Adhere to hotel emergency procedures and B.F. Saul Company Hospitality Group procedures for guest and team member incidents.
• Plan, organize, and prioritize work duties to meet required work volume.
• Follow attendance policies, grooming and appearance standards, and general work rules and procedures.
• Attend all required department and hotel meetings.
• Ensure proper use of all equipment and supplies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Housekeeping or laundry experience preferred.
• Attention to detail, customer-focused mindset, and ability to work in a repetitious and fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds consistently throughout the shift.
• Significant bending required.

Pay

$17.25 - $19 an hour. The actual base pay offered is determined by variables such as qualifications, relevant experience, skills, education, and certifications.
