Laundry Associate (Per Diem)

Location: 65 Retreat Ave, Hartford, CT (HH E&L Building). 1st shift hours: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm. Weekend work required.

About the role

Focuses on group tasks such as sorting, washing, delivering, and packing. May perform the work of the Laundry Production Assistant and has knowledge of all work stations and tasks. Work is completed to meet production and quality standards in the laundry and to satisfy the needs of internal and external customers in a safe and efficient manner. Reports to Laundry Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine tasks in the soil-sort area, packing, and folding
• Pack linen carts and deliver linen carts
• Drive laundry truck
• Perform laundry housekeeping tasks
• Sort soiled linen and fold clean linen
• Utilize laundry equipment to meet production standards

Requirements

• High school graduate preferred
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Highly motivated
