Laundry Associate

About the role

This position collects, sorts, washes and dries facility linens, scrubs and resident personal clothing. This position also inspects and removes from service items unfit for use. Distributes these items throughout the building to ensure adequate supply of linens.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and distributes linens and resident clothing
• Performs finish work on linens and clothing
• Responds to questions and requests from patients, staff and visitors
• Works independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision
• Communicates effectively with others by phone and verbally

Requirements

• Prior laundry experience preferred

• Able to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions
• Able to communicate effectively with others by phone and verbally
