Laundry Aide - Part Time

About the role

The Laundry Aide collects and sorts soiled linen, loads and unloads washing machines, folds clean linen, counts the amount of linen processed each day, delivers clean laundry to assigned units, and cleans and sanitizes the work area, including machines, worktables, and sorting areas.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled linen, load and unload washers and dryers.
• Operate computer-operated washers and dryers according to operating procedures.
• Sort and fold clean linen accurately and in a timely manner.
• Place clean linen in a delivery cart and deliver to appropriate units, using caution when pushing carts.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in a long-term care or nursing home environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, physicians, visitors, and all facility personnel.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care.

Pay

Starting wage: $16.75 per hour plus $0.85 per hour Hero Pay, totaling over $17.60 per hour. Yearly wage increases.

Schedule

• Full-time position.
• 8-hour shifts including rotating weekends and some holidays.
• Split shifts — days and evenings.
• We can work with your scheduling needs.
