Lapping Operator

Responsibilities

• Setting up, operating, and maintaining machines
• Tracing issues as they arise

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a production/manufacturing environment
• Excellent hand eye coordination and finger dexterity
• Demonstrated experience handling small and fragile parts
• Continuous improvement attitude and strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of personal ownership and a team attitude

Skills

• Setting up, operating, and maintaining machines
• Tracing issues as they arise
• Checking the tables and machines
• Cutting fixtures with scroll saw
• Measuring pieces before, during, and after processing
• Determining the optimal run-time for each job based on specifications
• Loading parts and running 1-2 machines at a time
• Flipping and rotating parts to ensure an even finish
• Changing slurries
• Standing at your machine all day
