Lantech - Banding Operator

Main duties and responsibilities

• Perform all tasks involved in packaging product according to plan.
• Perform basic, routine equipment maintenance and cleaning on everything in the area of responsibility.
• Keep machines stocked with raw materials and work with all personnel regarding raw material quality.
• Perform visual inspections of all finished products being moved and/or loaded onto outbound trucks.
• Identify unacceptable product conditions and initiate corrective action.
• Work closely with all team members, supervisors and leadership to identify, report and correct quality issues, productivity improvements, or cost reduction initiatives.
• Assist maintenance personnel in the troubleshooting, repair, or preventive maintenance of equipment.

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED certificate.
• Basic computer skills.
• The ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• The ability to operate all tooling and machinery required to perform required job duties.
• The ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and quality of finished material.
• The ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems during day-to-day production.
• The ability to understand and react to the escalation process in a timely manner.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
• The ability to dependably work a rotating shift schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Bonus Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience.
• Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience on a fork truck.
