Language Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Listens to various Spanish language sources to provide precise word processing transcriptions in the Spanish language.
• Translates spoken and/or written materials from one language to another.
• Writes or drafts correspondence, reports, documents and/or other written materials.
• Records and/or transcribes minutes of meetings, hearings, dictation, dialogue, etc., and produces document in draft or final format.
• Reviews and/or inspects work for quality, accuracy, and completeness.
• Enters data into a computer system and retrieves, corrects, or deletes previously entered data.

Qualifications

• Proficient in the Spanish language.
• Proficient in the English language.
• Possesses a DoD SECRET security clearance.
• Possession of a T2S2 Transcription/Translation Certification is preferred.
• A college degree in Spanish Translation is preferred.
• A Spanish language/translation certification from an accredited entity is preferred.
• Proficiency in other languages in addition to Spanish is preferred.
