About the role
GRAEF is seeking a mission-driven and dynamic leader to join our team of intellectually and technically talented colleagues who are innovative and creative. The successful candidate will provide strategy, business development, and technical direction to the landscape architecture and urban design group, focusing on the importance of sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the landscape architecture and urban design group.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to grow the practice of landscape architecture in the Milwaukee office and other regional offices.
- Mentor and develop staff for career advancement.
- Lead presentations and communicate effectively with clients and internal team members.
- Manage projects from concept through completion, ensuring quality and adherence to deadlines.
- Collaborate with team members across 9 offices in the Midwest and Florida.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in landscape architecture.
- Minimum of 8 years of applicable design experience.
- Previous project management experience required.
- Professional licensure required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, AutoCAD Civil 3D or Revit, and/or GIS software desired.
- Experience with business development activities such as marketing, proposals, and client development.
- Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members.
- Experience in leading and mentoring staff for career development and advancement.
- Excellence in written communication, quantitative analysis, graphic design, urban design, presenting, and critical thinking skills.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in landscape architecture preferred.

Pay
Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
