About the role
GRAEF is a multi-disciplinary planning, design and engineering firm established in 1961 with over 300 employees, headquartered in Milwaukee. Our core purpose is to improve the physical environment for the benefit of society in a sustainable manner. We are seeking an innovative and creative Senior Landscape Architect to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Provide input on strategy, business development, and technical direction, focusing on landscape architecture, urban design, and sustainability.
- Collaborate with team members across 9 offices in the Midwest and Florida for regional and national landscape architecture design expertise.
- Grow the practice of landscape architecture in the Milwaukee office and other regional offices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in landscape architecture.
- Minimum of 8 years of applicable design experience.
- Previous project management experience required.
- Experience with business development activities such as marketing, proposals, and client development.
- Professional licensure required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, AutoCAD Civil 3D or Revit, and/or GIS software desired.
- Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members.
- Experience in mentoring staff.
- Excellence in written communication, quantitative analysis, graphic design, urban design, presenting, and critical thinking skills.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in landscape architecture preferred.
- Experience with business development activities such as marketing, proposals, and client development.
