About the role

GRAEF is seeking a mission-driven and dynamic leader for its team of intellectually and technically talented colleagues who are innovative and creative. The ideal candidate will provide strategy, business development, and technical direction to the group, focusing on the importance of landscape architecture, urban design, and sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the landscape architecture and urban design practice area.
  • Develop and execute business strategies to grow the practice area.
  • Lead and mentor staff for career development and advancement.
  • Collaborate with team members across 9 offices in the Midwest and Florida.
  • Support employees with personal and professional growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in landscape architecture.
  • Minimum of 8 years of applicable design experience.
  • Previous project management experience required.
  • Professional licensure required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, AutoCAD Civil 3D or Revit, and / or GIS software desired.
  • Experience with business development activities such as marketing, proposals, and client development.
  • Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members.
  • Excellence in written communication, quantitative analysis, graphic design, urban design, presenting, and critical thinking skills.
