About the role
We are seeking attorneys and legal professionals for select opportunities involving land use, environmental, CEQA, eminent domain, energy infrastructure, project development, permitting, entitlements, and public-private infrastructure matters. These roles are grouped because the same candidate audience could reasonably match more than one opening in this tile.
Responsibilities
- California land use litigation and CEQA; writs of mandate, CEQA challenges, takings cases, Housing Accountability Act disputes, EIRs/MNDs/addenda, large-project approvals, public-agency entitlement defense, developer-side challenges, expert testimony, dispositive motions, hearings, depositions, client management, and associate mentorship.
- Large law firm transactional experience in sophisticated financing, especially energy and infrastructure; drafting and negotiating credit agreements, security packages, guarantees, intercreditor arrangements; managing diligence, closing checklists, signature packets, funds flows, conditions precedent; project finance, M&A, and.
- Eminent domain, real estate litigation, or public-entity land acquisition litigation; condemnation and inverse condemnation; valuation strategy; expert coordination; pleadings, discovery, depositions, law-and-motion, settlement, trial, appeals; public agency client counseling.
Requirements
- 6+ years California land use litigation and CEQA experience.
- 3-6 years large law firm transactional experience in sophisticated financing, especially energy and infrastructure.
- 7+ years eminent domain, real estate litigation, or public-entity land acquisition litigation experience.
Qualifications
- Relevant bar admission or eligibility.
- Strong writing, analysis, and client communication skills.
- Interested in development, permitting, public agency, or infrastructure project work.

- $250K-$340K + discretionary performance bonus
- $310K-$420K + discretionary performance bonus
