Land Use Attorney

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of land use issues
• Review, draft, and negotiate land use agreements, contracts, and other legal documents
• Represent clients in administrative hearings, litigation, and other legal proceedings related to land use issues
• Conduct legal research and analysis to provide strategic advice to clients
• Collaborate with other attorneys, planners, and consultants to develop and implement land use strategies
• Stay abreast of changes in land use laws and regulations, and advise clients on potential impacts
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, government officials, and other stakeholders
• Contribute to the development of firm-wide best practices and initiatives related to land use law

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the state bar
• 2-4 years of experience as a land use attorney
• Proven experience with land use regulations, real estate development, and environmental laws
• Excellent legal research, writing, and negotiation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical and strategic legal advice
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, government officials, and other stakeholders
• Commitment to ethical standards and professional responsibility

Pay

$140,000 - $160,000 per year
