About the role

Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of land use issues
- Review, draft, and negotiate land use agreements, contracts, and other legal documents
- Represent clients in administrative hearings, litigation, and other legal proceedings related to land use issues
- Conduct legal research and analysis to provide strategic advice to clients
- Collaborate with other attorneys, planners, and consultants to develop and implement land use strategies
- Stay abreast of changes in land use laws and regulations, and advise clients on potential impacts
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, government officials, and other stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of firm-wide best practices and initiatives related to land use law
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar
- 2-4 years of experience as a land use attorney
- Proven experience with land use regulations, real estate development, and environmental laws
- Excellent legal research, writing, and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical and strategic legal advice
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, government officials, and other stakeholders
- Commitment to ethical standards and professional responsibility
