Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on zoning, land use, and development regulations
- Represent clients in obtaining entitlements, including rezonings, variances, special exceptions, and site plan approvals
- Appear before municipal boards, commissions, and local government agencies
- Draft and negotiate development agreements and related land use documents
- Conduct due diligence for real estate transactions involving land use considerations
- Collaborate with real estate, environmental, and litigation teams on multidisciplinary matters
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active Florida Bar admission
- 5+ years of experience in land use, zoning, or real estate law
- Experience working with local government agencies and entitlement processes
- Strong knowledge of Florida land use and zoning regulations
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and client relationships effectively
