Land Development Staff Engineer

About the role

The Staff Engineer will be a key player on dynamic projects at McClure, promoting the company's core values and contributing to the success of projects from conception to completion.

Responsibilities

• Maintain solid knowledge of engineering principles and codes to ensure all projects are completed properly.
• Partner with Project Manager or Team Leader to proactively solve problems and manage project design issues.
• Actively work with the team to ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
• Implement the QA/QC process to ensure high-quality engineering solutions and plan sets.
• Challenge the team to develop innovative alternative solutions to meet the clients' needs.
• Show strong understanding of team's technical engineering expertise.
• Build trust, manage workload, and achieve team and corporate goals.
• Work autonomously as well as in a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Engineer in Training recognition required (or ability to obtain within 12 months of starting).
• 5 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

Must possess the technical skills required to successfully move a project from conception to completion and the interpersonal skills needed to assess the client's satisfaction and mentor less experienced members of the team.

Skills

Strong understanding of team's technical engineering expertise, ability to work autonomously and in a collaborative team environment.
