About the role
The Staff Engineer will be part of dynamic projects at McClure, promoting the company's core values and contributing to the success of the team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain solid knowledge of engineering principles and codes to ensure proper project completion.
- Assess client satisfaction and mentor less experienced team members.
- Partner with Project Manager or Team Leader to solve problems and manage design issues.
- Work actively with the team to ensure high client satisfaction.
- Implement QA/QC processes to ensure high-quality engineering solutions and plan sets.
- Challenge the team to develop innovative solutions that meet client needs.
- Build trust, manage workload, and achieve team and corporate goals.
- Work autonomously and collaboratively as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Engineer in Training recognition required (or ability to obtain within 12 months of starting).
- 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills to move projects from conception to completion.
- Interpersonal skills to assess client satisfaction and mentor team members.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a collaborative team environment.
Skills
- Understanding of team's technical engineering expertise.
