Responsibilities
- Reviews and coordinates engineering plans and construction programs.
- Maintains administrative duties including processing of mail, handling of invoices, correspondence, filing and ordering of office supplies.
- Manages all outside private and governmental requests for use of company real property and easement areas, and manages company land, including new leases, disposal, and out leases.
- Performs semi-annual inspections of all company owned/leased properties, including checks for environmental issues, encroachments, dumping, and related concerns, and reports to appropriate departments for resolution.
- Supports and undertakes special assignments, including group presentations, as directed by the Manager of Land and Rights of Way.
- Participates in Company emergency response activities as assigned, including any activities required to prepare for such emergency response.
Requirements
- Knowledge of principles and practice of real estate management and documentation and a working knowledge of the State Land Court and the Bureau of Conveyances.
- Strong working knowledge of personal computers and related software applications such Microsoft Office, UIPlanner, ProjectWise, eRMS, and eGIS.
- Must have or be able to qualify for a current State of Hawaii's driver's license to perform on-site investigations.
- Must meet the standards for required driving positions as stated in the Hiring Standards for Required Company Drivers Policy.
- Must have or be able to qualify as a Notary Public.
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, meet deadlines, and remain flexible in a demanding work environment with multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and oral skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence and persuade various groups or individuals.
Qualifications
- Several years (3-5 years) general office experience with 3 years at the legal secretarial level or 4 years at the administrative assistant level.
- Professional level experience in real property planning/management/administration, acquisition/sales, appraisal and/or title investigation is preferred.
- Experience in land management and administration gained from Hawaiian real estate entities (trusts, corporations, governments) is preferred.
Pay
The hiring range for the Land Administrator - Oahu [Req ID 10661] position is $72,500.00 to $90,600.00. The person selected will be placed according to his/her skills and qualifications.
