About the role
The UCSF Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry seeks faculty active in computational chemistry and machine learning related areas to join their vibrant, collaborative, and supportive discovery research community at the Mission Bay Campus in San Francisco.
Responsibilities
Faculty members are expected to:
- Define and address fundamental questions in computational chemistry and machine learning for chemistry and chemical biology-related problems.
- Establish a dynamic and interactive research program.
- Join one or more of the department's top-ranked interdisciplinary graduate programs.
Requirements
The successful candidate must:
- Hold a Ph.D.
- Have demonstrated substantial research accomplishment and potential.
- Be committed to the mentorship of students in research.
Qualifications
The minimum base salary range for this position is $121,900 - $319,800. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Pay
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $121,900 - $319,800.
