About the role
Supports other consultants as needed.
Participates in community education opportunities regarding breastfeeding, research projects, speaking engagements, and other company committees.
Keeps supplies clean and orderly according to policy and reports any needed supplies or educational materials to the supervisor.
Greets all patients in a friendly, professional manner.

Responsibilities
- Communicates effectively
- Skilled in teaching adults and adolescents
- Triage care based on patient needs
- Organizational Skills
- Skill and proficiency in applying highly technical principles, concepts, and techniques that are central to the profession
- Knowledge of current research information regarding Breastfeeding
- Maternity nursing and Newborn nursing knowledge
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to use Interpreter service appropriately
- Able to communicate effectively in additional languages, especially Spanish
Requirements
- Associate's of Nursing
- Bachelor's of Nursing
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
- Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Qualifications
- 1+ acute care hospital experience
- 2+ maternity or newborn experience
Skills
- Knowledge of highly technical principles, concepts, and techniques
- Current research information regarding Breastfeeding
- Maternity nursing and Newborn nursing knowledge
