About the role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Lactation Consultant to provide breastfeeding support during prenatal and postpartum periods.
Responsibilities
- Assist expectant parents with breastfeeding education and preparation through office visits and classes.
- Offer postpartum support for new mothers and their infants, developing personalized breastfeeding plans.
- Collaborate with breastfeeding medicine clinicians and provide guidance to staff via on-call support.
- Make referrals to community resources and professionals as needed.
Requirements
- An active RN license
- IBCLC certification
- Eligibility for Medicaid/Medicare credentialing
- Strong communication skills
- A caring attitude
Preferred qualifications
- Lactation consulting experience
- Neonatal CPR training
Benefits
Work hours are full-time, Monday to Friday, with travel to multiple office locations.
Pay
Salary ranges from $41.00 to $76.16 hourly based on experience.
