Duties
- Perform heavy physical labor requiring the frequent lifting and carrying of items and furniture weighing 80 to 100 pounds or more.
- Performs general maintenance of NAF facilities requiring use of heavy powered equipment and heavy tools.
- Tasks may include digging ditches, cutting trees using axes and chain saws, and lawn maintenance on grades and slopes.
- Resets nails, replaces hardware, relocates playgrounds, flowerbeds and portable structures.
- Advises facility director of potential safety hazards and identifies repairs required.
- Knowledge of the processes, which require remembering directions and/or sequences be, required.
- Knowledge and skill in the operation, control, and cleaning of heavy, power equipment lawn mowers, chain saws, jackhammers).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Conditions of employment: Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one year probationary period may be required. Satisfactory completion of an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Qualifications: Applicant must be able to frequently lift and carry very heavy objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds. Ability to work days, nights, and weekends as scheduled. This position requires a pre-employment physical.
