Responsibilities
- Perform general labor activities for the entire plant, including plant clean-up.
- Operate, inspect, and lubricate all mobile equipment, as required. (i.e., bobcat, loader).
- Perform all relevant tasks required for the preparation and loading of rail cars including the operation of the rail car pusher.
- Maintain cleanliness of plant work areas.
- Backfill current and future jobs as required (which are on rotating three shifts).
- Absorb and comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures; assist with physical inspections of plant property/departments.
Job Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A valid driver's license.
- Must be able to satisfy ATF application requirements for Cardox use.
- Experience using (or ability to learn) plant mobile equipment.
- Able to work different extended hours, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Able to work swing shift.
Physical Requirements
- Able to wear all required MSHA safety equipment.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Able to use standard labor tools such as jackhammers, shovels, and sledgehammers.
- Work from heights.
- Climb steps and ladders, balance, stoop/kneel/crouch/ crawl, twist/turn, stand, and walk.
- Lift/carry/push/pull up to 94 lbs.
- Able to enter & exit vehicles (by pulling body weight into vehicle while maintaining a minimum three-point contact).
- Good eyesight for close, distance, and depth perception.
- Dexterity with both hands.
- Work in a dusty, very loud noisy environment.
- Able to sit for long period of time when operating equipment.
Starting Pay
Starting pay: $25.32/hour during probation (then $28.13/hour upon completion of 75 working day probationary period).
