Laborer

About the role
This position will report to our office location in Huntsville, AL (Redstone Arsenal).
Responsibilities
- Construction site clean-up
- Office clean-up
- Project site final cleaning (includes but is not limited to: construction material removal and organization, removal of construction material overspray/splash/slop, trash removal, sweeping, mopping, restroom cleaning)
- Installs/establish construction site infrastructure: set fire extinguishers, install site warning signs, set garbage cans, install Ram board
- Occasionally repair/remediate architectural finishes adjacent to construction site entrances
- Maintains job site cleanliness for multiple simultaneous projects
Requirements
- Able to physically lift objects greater than 60 lbs
- Speak fluent English
- US Citizenship/Naturalized citizen/Valid work visa
- Able to obtain access to USG military installation
- Able to complete OSHA 10
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results
- If applicable to the contract, obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations

- Ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients
- Maintain physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time
- Frequent opportunity to move about and work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements (extreme heat, cold, wind, rain, or other inclement weather)
- Walking over rough and uneven surfaces
- Routine lifting of up to 35 pounds
- Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to: hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection
- Maintain a constant state of mental alertness
Working Conditions
- Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations
- Office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse
- Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise
