About the role

APTIM Federal Services, LLC team has several projects at Hunters Point Naval Shipyard, San Francisco, CA. The projects involve investigating, excavating, and restoring properties affected by environmental and radiological issues; restoring the shoreline and constructing seawalls to support the redevelopment of the San Francisco Bay waterfront.

Responsibilities

• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes.
• Control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones.
• Shovel cement and other materials into portable cement mixers, mix, pour, and spread concrete.
• Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
• Erect and disassemble shoring, braces, traffic barricades, and other temporary structures.
• Operate off-road dump truck or water truck (when required).

Requirements

• Possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record.
• Dependable transportation and cell phone service.
• Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Have current OSHA HAZWOPER training.
• Minimum 1 year relevant construction experience and live locally (daily commute) to Hunter's Point.

• Basic climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering.

Pay

A good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $20 per hour. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
