About the role

The Laboratory Technician I position supports laboratory operations by performing tasks such as retrieving samples, preparing samples, maintaining laboratory areas, and assisting other areas as needed. The role adheres to Eurofins Environment Testing America's Quality Assurance programs and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves samples from Sample Control for analysis.
• Performs sample preparation, including aliquoting, spiking, tracing, preparing reagents, bottling, concentration, separation, sonicating, and liquid rack setup.
• Resolves discrepancies and anomalies to ensure proper labeling of samples.
• Prepares general laboratory paperwork, such as recording analysis results, tracking samples, bench sheets, and laboratory logbooks.
• Washes laboratory glassware to prepare for next day’s samples.
• Stocks laboratory supplies.
• Cleans work area(s) to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assists other laboratory areas as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• High school Chemistry coursework and basic laboratory experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Good verbal English language skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to move around, stand for long periods, squat.
• Ability to adhere to safety protocols and work during emergency response situations.

Additional Information

This is a full-time position. Hours are Wednesday to Sunday, 4pm to 12am with possible overtime. Weekend hours can be earlier. Training takes place Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. Compensation is $22/hr. Candidates within a commutable distance to Stafford, TX are encouraged to apply.
