Laboratory Technical Specialist/UKHC

About the role

The Laboratory Technologist Specialist will manage the Routine Microbiology subspecialty within the Microbiology Laboratory section at the University of Kentucky HealthCare (UKHC).

Responsibilities

• Manage test performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Ensure quality control and comply with CAP and other regulatory standards.
• Manage supply chain and resource scheduling.
• Aid in employee competency assessments and evaluations.
• Work in a fast-paced academic medical center supporting various departments including trauma care, children's hospital, and cancer center.

Requirements

• BS degree.
• 3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

BS/MLS preferred.
