Laboratory Tech 6 (Met Eval)

About the role

ATI is currently seeking a Lab Technician (6) for Metallography Evaluation in our Monroe, NC facility. This position is a crucial step as the technician will be evaluating samples throughout the day by microscope to meet industry standards, ensuring all materials are compliant before delivery to the customer.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate metallographic samples under a microscope against industry standards and company specifications
• Enter results into the computer
• Release final results for certification
• Schedule and prioritize samples
• Troubleshoot problems
• Engage in activities that promote growth in knowledge necessary to perform essential tasks
• Auxiliary in routine laboratory operations and/or perform other work as directed
• Maintain work areas in a clean, orderly condition

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least one (1) year of manufacturing experience
• Previous experience in quality assurance is a plus

Benefits

This is a night shift position from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am on a 2-2-3 schedule. The training schedule for this role is subject to change and may include both day and night sessions.
