Clinical Lab Scientist 6 (CLS/MT)

This role provides technical leadership and expertise, ensuring quality control, calibration, and coordination of departmental work. You will oversee competencies and training, manage special projects, perform inventory control, and address departmental issues while completing testing within established time frames.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and expertise in laboratory operations
• Maintain quality control, calibration functions, and correlations
• Coordinate, plan, organize, and monitor departmental workflow
• Ensure completion of all competencies and training
• Work on special projects under the direction of management
• Perform inventory control functions
• Complete testing within established time frames
• Recognize and address issues within the department

Requirements

• Associate's degree with MLT (ASCP/AMT), HT (ASCP/AMT), or equivalent education and clinical lab experience OR a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year MT or HTL program approved by a National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent
• Must meet the minimum requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Act of 1988
• 3 years of experience as MT/MLS/CLS/HTL OR 5 years as MLT/HT (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• ETC Registered or eligible for registry as MLT or HT, or MT (ASCP/AMT) or HTL (ASCP/AMT) or equivalent

Pay

$28.95–$47.28 per hour, depending on previous work experience.
