Job Summary
The Supervisor will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program, ensuring full compliance with CLIA/COLA standards. They will also assist the Medical Director with QA/QC issues and work with the Director on projects to ensure laboratory success.
Job Duties
- Define, maintain, and review new QA/QC objectives, targets, and processes
- Implement corrective action as required by CLIA/COLA when necessary
- Maintain CAP proficiency test for full CLIA/COLA compliance and corrective action
- Absist Medical Director with QA/QC objections to ensure full compliance
- Establish QA/QC documentation, procedures, and monitor using various systems
- Assure proper qualification, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment and testing instruments
- Troubleshoot testing methods, results, instrumentation, and processes as needed
- Maintain proper guidelines for LCMS instrumentation performance, maintenance, and existing testing methods
- Perform regular internal audits, recommend changes, and initiate corrective or preventative actions when necessary
- Identify relevant quality-related training needs and deliver training to personnel, documenting all trainings in training logs
- Assist with technical duties as needed
- Work with the General Laboratory Supervisor to implement new testing methods, instrumentation, and other laboratory development projects as needed
- Aid in preparing for CLIA/COLA inspections and address any deficiencies for full compliance
- Plan, assign, and direct all technical work in the laboratory
- Perform all other duties assigned
Qualifications, Education, and Experience
- Education as required by CLIA/CMS regulations
- Licensure as required by the Department of Health Board of Laboratory Personnel
- Ability to function independently and as a member of a large team; motivate people to achieve excellent work with multiple leadership and staffing levels to achieve quality management goals
- QA/QC implementation, recording, and troubleshooting experience
- LCMS instrument maintenance, daily duties, troubleshooting, and certifying data experience highly desired
Compensation
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
