Laboratory Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Coordinate or manage laboratory activities ensuring safety and adherence to company quality protocols.
• Oversee or coordinate training and equipment maintenance for laboratory staff.
• Assist in proposal preparation and cost estimation for laboratory testing services.
• Evaluate laboratory personnel performance and assist in their professional development.
• Supervise laboratory operations to ensure compliance with client and project requirements.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure its proper calibration.
• Ensure laboratory area is organized, clean, and free of clutter.
• Direct short-range business development activities and recruit personnel.
• Supervise administrative systems and ensure accurate reporting and documentation.
• Lead safety efforts and promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement.
• Perform construction and geotechnical laboratory testing.
• Understand and mitigate project-related risks.
• Create and model a safe work environment.
• Engage APRs on projects from their onset.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience performing laboratory tests on construction and geotechnical materials.
• Certification by qualified national, regional or state authorities (ACI, NICET, DOT) or in-house certification in relevant areas.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
