Laboratory Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Coordinate or manage laboratory testing activities ensuring safety and adherence to company and project requirements.
• Oversee or coordinate the training and utilization of laboratory staff.
• Maintain and clean laboratory and testing equipment.
• Supervise or monitor laboratory activities to ensure timely and accurate execution of tasks.
• Evaluate employee performance and assist in professional development.
• Safeguard laboratory personnel's safety and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Ensure laboratory processes comply with company quality protocols and QMS.
• Plan, recruit, select, and train personnel.
• Perform construction and geotechnical laboratory testing.
• Lead safety efforts and promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement.
• Engage APRs on projects at their onset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience performing laboratory tests on construction and geotechnical materials.
• Certification by qualified national, regional or state authorities (ACI, NICET, DOT) or in-house certification in areas such as concrete, aggregates, soil and rock, or road and paving materials.
