Laboratory Supervisor - Blood Bank

Role Overview The supervisor oversees daily laboratory operations, ensuring accurate procedures and tests for disease diagnosis and treatment. They are responsible for maintaining analyzers, quality control, specimen collection, and supply management in compliance with standards and policies. The supervisor also recommends process improvements and develops action plans to enhance system efficiency. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily laboratory activities and personnel.Perform and oversee diagnostic procedures and tests.Ensure maintenance of equipment, quality control, and specimen collection.Manage supplies according to established standards.Identify and implement process improvements through recommendations and action plans. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or related field (or equivalent with certification).Minimum of 3 years clinical experience, preferably in an acute care hospital.Proven clinical competency in the relevant specialty area.Supervisory experience is preferred.Certification as a medical technologist or medical laboratory scientist by recognized certifying bodies is required.
