Laboratory Manager

Responsibilities

• Manages staffing needs of the department by helping the team prioritize the work and allocate resources appropriately.
• Responsible for developing department(s) operational budget and productivity performance, reviewing variances and leveraging resources to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
• Supports implementation of market specific and/or enterprise level changes through effective leadership and change management.
• Ensures their department(s) and the laboratory meet or exceed all regulatory requirements.
• Uses data and leverages best practices whenever possible to solve problems and investigate quality concerns.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution is required.
• Experience: 4 years of clinical laboratory experience is required. 1 year of previous leadership experience within a clinical laboratory is preferred.
