Laboratory Manager
About the role
Laboratory Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and overseeing all laboratory activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- 5+ years of laboratory experience is preferred.
- 3 - 5 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
- Possible travel to additional labs in other areas.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines.
- Analytical thinking skills.
- Promotes a productive work environment.
- Ability to adapt
About you
- Day to day production management for the laboratory.
- Day to day management of staff.
- Optimize production efficiency.
- Ensure that long term HR strategies are adhered to and that compliance is maintained.
- Ensure the laboratory is suitably equipped, staffed and using approved methodologies to provide a quality service to clients.
- Delegate NATA signatories to check and approve final reports prior to dispatch, advising staff to take corrective action where necessary.
- Ensure staff members are appropriately trained.
- Continually assess the laboratory to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Authorize of the purchase of consumables.
- Other duties as assigned.
