LABORATORY MANAGER
About the role
Northern Nevada Medical Center's Laboratory Manager opportunity is full time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and has a convenient schedule.
Responsibilities
- Ensures that services are of the best quality, are cost efficient, and are carried out in an expeditious manner.
- Recognizes test results or operational problems that require referral to the clinical laboratory pathologist.
- Maintains performance improvement activities within the department.
- Helps formulate budget.
- Complies with all regulatory standards.
- Maintains effective physician and intradepartmental relations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry.
- Current Medical Technologist - Supervisor licensure in the State of Nevada.
- Masters degree in public health, hospital administration or business administration preferred.
- Minimum of one-year managerial experience in the clinical laboratory of an acute care hospital (in non-waived testing).
- Prioritize experience with regulatory and accreditation of laboratory operations.
